In response to the negative reviews below, private contractors are responsible for their own trucks, NOT AJAX!!! This is an Asphalt Manufacturing Facility, not a Trucking company.

I wanted to share my experience with this company, even though I haven't used them for asphalt or paving. While driving to work a few weeks ago, I encountered one of their large asphalt trucks on the highway. Unfortunately, the unsecured asphalt flew out the back of the truck and hit my car and several others, resulting in two cracks on my windshield.
Upon inspecting their trucks, I realized that the one I was behind did not have the back covered, which led to the asphalt flying out. I reached out to Ajax via their online messagging system to inform them of this incident. I didn't ask for reimbursement for my window, but rather wanted to bring the matter to their attention.
Unfortunately, I have not heard back from them in weeks, which is disappointing. I believe an apology would have been sufficient.

I am disgusted with the lack of professionalism and safety that I just encountered. While driving on the Selmon Expressway in Tampa a driver cut me off because he didn't like the speed in which the car in front of him was driving. Not only did he cut me off but a piece of debree from his truck hit my windshield and left a chip. When I beeped he got so aggravated that he then switched lanes then proceeded to lay down on his horn scaring the crap out of me and my 18 month old baby in the back seat. When we got off at the same exit he rolled down his window and proceeded to hand gesture with his middle finger as well as stick his torso out of the window clapping his hands and flicking me off once more before turning. Is that's necessary and/or acceptable for someone driving your company vehicle? I am absolutely appalled by the lack of class of that gentleman if I can even call him that. I tried calling the local office and kept getting the busy signal. Thank god I was able to slow down and allow room for that truck to get in or it could have been a very bad day for and my daughter. I would like to recommend some defensive driving classes for your drivers to avoid a serious accident from happening. Absolutely unacceptable behavior!

I am another person that had a bad experience with these employees driving their trucks. They are dangerous on the road. They need to be checked by the dot.

Unacceptable behavior by their subcontractors on us 41 Gibsonton. Called subcontractors number and was told by GM I used n word on employee. NEVER in a million years wouls I ever use the n word. The Gm hung up on me. AJAX paving company did not give notice of my side road (dead end) closing. Neighbors and I could not get onto our road nor could we leave for child pu at school and baby doctor appt. We were told by subcontractor rude crew to call Ajax.

Dangerous and aggressive drivers of their trucks. Nearly ran us off the road on the Howard Frankland. Two of their trucks weaving in and out of lanes and speeding. License plates covered in dirt and unreadable.
