I had such a wonderful in-store experience on 11/24/24, thanks to Victoria.

Victoria acknowledged me when I entered the store (which I always appreciate) and was extremely well-versed on CB2's products, as I had many questions that she skillfully and patiently answered. She also informed me about the option of opening a trade account (which no one had ever mentioned before).

I love CB2, but have not always had the best experiences at this location. Unlike previous associates, Victoria was very kind, hard-working, professional, and clearly understands the importance of relationship-building and clienteling. She's definitely someone who should be in a leadership role training new staff on how to engage with customers (this store really needs it).

PLEASE hire (and hold onto!) more associates like her--she is exemplary and a true asset to the CB2 brand.

I recently scheduled a design service appointment with CB2, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The initial appointment was rescheduled, and to my dismay, the rescheduled appointment was canceled last minute at the sole discretion of Lily, one of their designers. Clearing my day for this appointment made the cancellation even more frustrating.

I found Lily to be extremely rude and unprofessional in our interactions. I noticed another review also mentioned her poor service, which highlights a pattern of behavior. Allowing an individual who treats paying customers in such a manner is detrimental to the reputation and success of the store. I believe management should reevaluate her role, as exceptional customer service clearly isn't her strong suit. Put her in a stockroom or back office…she needs severe coaching, and until she understands what the word “service” entails, she should not be allowed to interact with the public!

Despite this negative experience with Lily, I decided to give CB2 another chance due to the exceptional service provided by Marcus, one of their new designers, and Alissa, the Assistant Store Manager. Both Marcus and Alissa were friendly, helpful, and ensured my needs were met, which encouraged me to continue my patronage.

However, it's essential to address the ongoing issue with Lily, as I'm confident that I'm not the only customer she's driven away.

Met the GRINCH! I had a terrible experience with an associate named Linda today at the Houston CB2 location. From the moment I entered the store her attitude towards me was unprofessional and she seemed annoyed by my existence. I kindly explained I had a return. She said I’d have to wait as she was with a customer. Not a problem. When she did assist me, she asked me for the online order number at least 4 times. I clearly articulated each number. She sighed and huffed at one point and said give it to me again. She told me I had to enter my email address in the keypad. I told her I prefer not to. She said it’s for my return receipt. So, I entered it. Then she said ok your return is complete you’ll get an email receipt and walked away. No have a nice day or happy holidays. I asked another associate if I could please have a printed receipt. I was not comfortable leaving the store without proof of return. Two other associates appeared and were able to assist me. Linda told one male associate that I wanted an email receipt. This upset me as it was not true. I specifically asked to not enter my email. I didn’t know a printed receipt was an option since she did not offer it to me. I clarified and said to her in front of the male associate and potentially female manager that I did not want to enter my email and she said I had to for my return receipt. I also told them about my experience. This was my first time to visit the CB2 in Houston. Needless to say, I likely won’t shop here again. Kindness goes a long ways. Especially, in a customer focused role. I am more than disappointed. I left the same review for CB2 as well.

I went in to the Houston store and was disappointed. Was in the store for a while looking at lamps and accessories. There were 4 employees that I saw in the store, and not one of them greeted me or asked if I needed any help. 2 behind the counter didn't even greet me when I walked in the store. They are lazy and don't seem to care about helping potential customers. I don't even know why you would hire those kind of people to work in a nice store. I saw a couple of lamps and a marble box that I was interested, but I left. I went on line to order the lamps and the marble box, but after I read all the terrible reviews I decided I didn't want to take a chance of not getting the items I purchased and not being able to get a hold of customer service. Nice store. Terrible reviews. Lazy, judgmental staff. Big Disappointment, and I would expect much more from a store like that.

I’m not typically one to leave negative reviews, but I’ve rarely encountered such unprofessionalism, condescension, and outright rudeness in a retail environment. I reached out for additional details on a mirror displayed in the Houston store, as the information I needed wasn’t available on the website. LILY, however, not only refused to assist but was extremely dismissive and even falsely claimed the mirror weighed “300 lbs” when, according to the online description, it’s 70 lbs. She said “Why don’t you come into the store and take a look at it yourself.” I’m genuinely appalled by the lack of basic customer service and courtesy displayed. If this employee is so dissatisfied with her role, perhaps it would be better to seek a different position rather than detract from the customer experience.

I hate writing reviews like this, but my experience here last Saturday left a terrible taste in my mouth. We walked into CB2 Saturday afternoon with the intention of buying multiple glassware sets, cocktail sets and dessert plates for our new home. We were not greeted AT ALL by anyone and received nasty glares from some of the sales staff across the floor. One of the sales guys followed us around the room with his eyes while we looked at some furniture pieces we’d seen online. We were really disgusted by the energy in here and decided to take our business elsewhere. I guess Mr. Cheap Tweed Jacket didn’t want or need his commission that day. Steer clear from here and consider supporting some of the local businesses in Houston selling REAL furnishings that aren’t made in China.

I just placed an order at this location. I visited on two consecutive days to be sure I was choosing the right items for my space. Victoria was wonderful and helped to answer all of our questions. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and satisfied with our purchases. Thank you Victoria!
