While at one time, this small family business was 5 stars, our experience was anything but. I will give them 5 stars for sales & marketing as initial meetings were good. We met owner, Alex in Jan 2023 post Hurricane Ian in SWFL, for an estimate to replace siding/trim on our damaged home. We received a 62K quote, comparable to others, and decided to sign. We were told it would be ~6wks for materials and take about 2 wks to complete, so we were looking at a job done by the end of April. Given supply chain issues/labor issues post hurricane and changes to labor force availability in FL, we expected delays. What we didn't expect was ghosting, failure to communicate, excuses, untruths and complete lack of accountability for things that went wrong (lost orders, inefficient supplier middlemen, wrong inventory delivered, poor workmanship, no quality control). Sadly, all mishaps that occurred with our job were never acknowledged by the owner despite nothing but courteous inquiries on our part. Communication with the owner was non-existent at worst and at best, was slow, lackluster and lackadaisical. So frustrating as we are not ugly or disgruntled customers who act out. Had the owner stopped deflecting our concerns, blaming everything else under the sun, not taking responsibility/accountability and had at least communicated in a timely manner, this project would have been tolerable. This company bit off WAY MORE than they could chew with post Hurricane projects and it shows. There are still workmanship finishing issues that we're just not mentioning as any concerns will be ignored. The caulking job and carpentry are awful. See pictures. Job site clean up was poor. Owner had a final walk-through w/ one of us. He didn't acknowledge any of the glaring uglies. One entire section of our home measuring about 6x3 ft was left untouched…the old vinyl siding remains! And it was not brought to our attention. We have absolutely no idea why the area was untouched, but I am guessing that they never retracted the hurricane shutter completely to discover the area behind it despite being on the job for over 5 months. We were not on-site for the entire job, which spanned on and off over about 5.5 months and we are not full time residents. I can only hope that they read this review and want to make things right. We’ve tried to reach out twice for various concerns after the final payment was made and we’ve not received a reply, despite the owner’s invitation to “call if there are any issues or questions”. If our project represents this company's best work, buyer beware. Worst thing in contracting is lack of communication. Owner NEVER, not once, reached out to us first. And it seems he couldn't have cared less. Job completed in Oct 2023, 10 months after initial deposit. Paid in full. We discovered the uncompleted area AFTER the final walkthrough. I am gobsmacked. So disappointing. This review was posted on Better business bureau website (amended here) and received no response from owner so reposting in hopes it gets to them, they see it, and want to make things right. If so, to our satisfaction, I will update.

Edited to add that the owner has indicated the office will reach out to us to come and look at the area missed. We've sent 2 texts that went unanswered ( a pattern). I wonder if my number has been blocked. We had three walkthroughs, not 6 but we won't split hairs here. I am happy to await a phone call to set up another meeting. Thank you.

Edited to add that the owner came out to my home on the day he said he would, looked at the missed area, wasn't sure how it happened, but agreed to fix the mistake. It was done 2/8-2/9/24, 13 mos after initial contract was signed. Luis went out of his way, knowing our level of frustration, and completed timely as did Bryan, the finisher.

I highly recommend Coastal Exteriors. Alex is highly knowledgeable and takes the time to answer questions; after several quotes it refreshing to find someone who is straightforward, honest and dependable. We had some water intrusion prior to the hurricane, which required some remediation and subsequent rebuild. Alex’s team rebuilt the drywall, wainscoting, a built in bench and built in bookshelves, removed our entire first level flooring and replaced it with wood look tile. They repaired and repainted the entire exterior of our home and renovated our upstairs shower. The work was done beautifully. Alex performed multiple walkthroughs to make sure all work met his expectations and was highly communicative throughout the process. Further we were in the middle of our repairs when Hurricane Ian came, and they made sure our home was secure, and returned to work quickly afterwards, even working off of generators to make sure they could continue. And they repaired our storm related damage to our lanai and roof. After the storm Alex called me to check on us and when I said my in-laws home was flooded he assured me that all could be repaired and brought my family peace of mind. We are also performing this major renovation of my in-laws flooded home with his team. And now even my parents are using his company for their storm related roof repair and some interior work. Do not look any further, you’ve found the best team for your job with Coastal Exteriors.

If I could give zero stars I would, but it’s not possible. Coastal exteriors replaced the stucco on my home along with replacing our front door and sliders. I was happy with the work and decided to have them replace all of our windows. After paying the deposit in May 2024 and getting the permit, nothing has been done. Despite repeated attempts to contact the owner, I have received no reply. I filed a complaint with the BBB and the owner did not respond. Beware of this company.

I contracted with Coastal in Sept 23 and was given a verbal completion of the end of the year. Coastal started work in Nov23, but used damaged roof tiles which I did not accept. I offered to give them tiles that I had and they fixed the problem in I think in July 24. They also purchased the wrong window and could not complete this phase of the work in early Dec23 when they did the other window replacements. They told me that they got a good deal on purchase of the correct window and accepted the error as their responsibility. It is now Sept 24 and they still have not purchased the replacement but have given less than honest responses to my questions on it's delivery. Phone calls, conversations and emails do nothing to complete the job. My most recent communication from them is that have or will be filing bankruptcy . The Coastal contract requires mediation before going to court. I sent them an email demand for mediation and received the bankruptcy statement and I have again requested mediation but have gotten no response. Reading some other reviews this seems to be a tactic of theirs. I have no problem with the work quality or their field people but their management style takes away their quality points. You cannot trust them with upfront payments or completion payments or what they tell the customer.

We contacted them in March to build a custom shed!! 12x12 Gave our deposit said it would be done in 8 weeks start to finish !! It is now October still not done and what is done is not what we contracted!!! I left a well deserved 1 star review and he called my husband said he is getting a divorce, filing bankruptcy, and closing his doors and he would not be finishing our project 8 months later!!!

We signed contract with Alex back on March 8th of this year to build us a Casita on our Florida home that is only a little over a year old. Immediately overnighted a deposit check so work could get started. Alex had told me start to finish it was approximately an 8 week project. Well, here it is Oct 21st and it's been nothing short of a nightmare for us. It has been one lie after another. Alex will say one thing, to buy himself some time, then do another. Alex will completely ignore a text and phone call. Has told us today he is cutting his losses and will not be finishing our project and a few others he has going. Said he is getting divorced, filing bankruptcy, closing the doors and leaving us to clean up his mess and finish the Casita ourselves. And when I say mess, that's exactly what he's left us. People beware. Stay away. Do your due diligence and background check this guy, Alex Korzhuk, "I wish I'd never met this guy"!

Several leaks around my home after paying a fortune to Alex.I had a 3rd party moisture inspection and report done. I gave him a copy.
He said he would get it fixed and that was a year and a half ago. Now he doesn’t answer calls or text messages. My son’s room got mold. And I have to pay an attorney to get relief. His brother Serg was awesome during the work. But when you pay somebody to do waterproofing / siding and window installation, water shouldn’t be coming in so many places. Buyer be warned.

We didn’t realize it at the time but we had a huge mess on our hands with our home and Coastal Exteriors came to our rescue …I would highly recommend them. Thanks to their skilled carpenters, framers, stucco crew, drywall and painters. Each crew was outstanding in their craftsmanship and also their respect for our time and property. Their price was fair and we would definitely use them again. I hope you will consider them as well .
