Jim and his team replaced windows and added a sliding glass door to our house last year. We were very impressed with Jim's communication before and during the project, and the work itself. We used J&S Siding and Gutters after a severe hail storm did a lot of damage to the exterior of our house. They replaced our roof shingles, repaired our vinyl siding, replaced our gutters, replaced our double garage door and completely refinished our cedar and white deck all in a couple of weeks and with impressive professionalism and at what we considered to be a very reasonable cost. The management and employees of J&S were both efficient and polite which was really appreciated. We have no reservations in recommending them to anyone who needs work done on their home.

Terrible company and owner. Didnt pull a permit until after the roof was on and I told the owner to pull a permit, only after the work was completed and the damage was covered up. 9 months after the job was complete, we have water leaking through holes they created with their nail guns. The owner has refused to fix the problem. Do yourself a favor and find a more reputible place to work on your home.

I appreciate the owners response 6 years later, but why would a company agree to discount repairs and fire the sub that worked on the job if they had not done anything wrong? A permit needs to be pulled for all roof repairs in my town. Thankfully the "renter" was on property to question the permit and work being done. Funny enough the permit was pulled after the company was notified. If it didn't need a permit why would you then pull one?

You hire bad subs that complete poor work... you as the general contractor are responsible. I think the BBB and the MN department of building made that very clear.

We just had our roof done yesterday by J&S. The shingles were dropped off at 7am, and the roof was done by 7pm. Our house is something like 15 squares of shingles. My yard was left clean, they provided a dumpster for the old shingles, that was gone before we woke up the next morning. They were recommended to me by a former home-builder/current building inspector, my father, and my wife and I are very happy. We will use again if we ever need to, and will reccomend.

J and S did a suburb roofing job! While one neighbor missed out as the crew went to the wrong address another had a crew that took five days for a job that J and S did for us in one day! Well done, J and S!
