Absolutely cannot recommend this place for customer service. Two years ago I was told service was available and they would have somebody contacting me to get this set up. Only after three phone calls and discussions later to find out that the service was actually not available at my address. I got so fed up with Charter that I decided to contact them again Earlier this year. I switched over to them and over the last eight weeks of service we lost service two times. We had somebody come out and install, leaving the fiber optic cable across the sidewalk, where there’s potential for it to get tripped on or swallowed up by a snowblower.
I’ve had five different phone calls during the warm weather to have them come bury the cable as it’s going across the sidewalk in my front yard to every time we told somebody would get back to me in 24 to 48 hours I’ve not heard back from anybody once out of the last five times I’ve contacted them on top of that every time I’ve contacted them. You could definitely expect to wait on hold for at least a half hour for anybody to actually pick up the phone.

Hidden fees that they did not discuss amount to 20% of the bill. While they claim that there’s no installation fees, I was charged them. They did remove them after a long wait on hold and a lengthy discussion.
I will absolutely be discontinuing service with them and going back all of the other bullshit problems I had with Spectrum

Nothing but problems from the start. long hold wait times and problem still never solved. Phones never set up properly from the start, installation took 2 month to get scheduled, poor internet service, cant even use WIFI calling on cellphone with out it buffering the call. billing tried to charge an extra 300 and got hung up on when I called to complain about the fact it would've not been removed had I not called. checking on different phone company right after leaving this review. So watch you bill. I pity the tech support call center as I'm sure its not an isolated incident, sale guy was the only one that seemed to get things moving when needed.

Beware if you are thinking of switching from your current provider to these guys, horrible customer service. We live in a very small town and although we don't currently have fiber internet available, (except metronet very recently) we have great internet services in town. These guys recently started advertising that they have services available in our community. I signed up and an install was scheduled with a requirement of someone being home. They gave me a 3hr window. I was home from work. No one ever called or showed up. After spending over an hour on the phone with customer service, I found out there was never a plan to install as they still need to bore the underground service in. This has been a month ago and I haven't heard from them since. Will be sticking with the great and reliable midco. Making sure all of my neighbors are aware.

Scott Emhoff stopped out to my office to tell me about the new Metrronet Fiber in our area. Initially I explained that I was not interested. Scott stopped out several times with meeting lasting 20-30 for each meeting. I asked him many times if he was positive that the fiber services were available in my building and in my specific office. He insisted that they have services in my building/office. I still put him off. He stopped in with his manager. The meeting lasted an hour. They both insisted that they have fiber services in my building and could get it to my specific office. Showed me how the VOIP Phone would work and the 100MG internet. I finally agreed to change from Century Link/Lumen to Metronet. Scheduled the install. Signed all the contractual paperwork. Notified Century Link/Lumen that I wanted to cancel the services, an hour on the phone... The Metronet Tech person was supposed to stop out one day to review everything and the equipment etc. Cleared the calendar. They cancelled and we had to move the meeting date out a week or so. Called Century Link/Luman and moved the disconnect date out, an hour on the phone.... The Metronet tech person stopped out and immediately said that they would not be able to run the fiber to my office. Within 5 minutes knew they couldn't do it. Called Scott Emhoff, emailed Scott Emhoff, called and email Joshua Schultz the "Project Manager". No response for days. Josh finally got back to me saying he was working on things and would get back to me. Never did. Several follow up emails. Many follow up calls and emails. Scott Emhoff never called or acknowledged all the time I wasted on this.

I am a small business owner and my time is super valuable. All this wasted time cost me several thousand dollars in wasted time, probably $4000 in wasted time.

Never a response. It is clear that Scott Emhoff, Joshua Shultz and Scott's Manager don't care about small business or they would have at least offered to reimburse me for all the wasted time. But instead ghosted me without returning calls or emails, ever.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. I bet when they have the signed contract and you are client all you will receive is poor service if this is how they treat a prospective client.

ZERO STARS

Wow... Awful experiences. Ken Smith's gaslighting was the last straw.
If you want to hire them, get ready to push rope the whole way. Understand that they won't follow through with any promises or promotions if they don't feel like it.

They literally claimed that they have never had the promotion that they signed me up for. It was all over their website and the humans -- on a recorded line -- guaranteed the promotion and no install charge. But then at install time the manager says there has never been a promotion (though it was all over their website) and wanted screenshots and documents to force them to keep their agreement. What a headache.

After giving them months and many opportunities to simply follow through, I'm out. I have never seen a company fumble business so badly. If you want a company that you need to record all phone conversations and screen shot and retain everything and then have to fight them every inch to keep their word, MetroNet is the one for you.

We recently switched to Metronet because they were offering a lower monthly rate and double the speed compared to our previous provider. We've saved nearly 50% on our monthly bill but the connection is unpredictable. For example, a few days ago we downloaded a game off Steam and it averaged 30Mps with a high of 60Mps. Today we downloaded a game and it averaged 5Mps with a high of 30Mps. So, we're happy with the savings but would have liked to get the promised performance as well.

Metronet showed up on a Monday after leaving a flyer on a Friday. They tore up our yards, tunneled under our driveways, and left things looking like garbage. I had to buy sod and spend my own time repairing the damage at my house. The muddy boot prints are locked into my driveway sealer (which I just had done). I will NEVER be a customer and I will go out of my way to let people know how much you guys suck. You suck, Metronet.

Edit: I had already spoken with a supervisor and my lawn was “repaired” to city standards, which is generally filling the hole and throwing seed down. Reimburse me for my sod and time and I’ll improve my review. You guys can afford to do that with the money you’re making on the fiber run. If you’re willing to reimburse me $200, you’re welcome to reply.

After 4 emails and 3 weeks we’re still dealing with general replies of how Ro is sending their contractor or crew out to repair or “check on” the damage they caused to our yard in Apple Valley. They just lumped chunks of the ground they cut out back on so it’s ridiculous to mow over, there was no visible seed, and they missed so many spots they damaged, we’ve been irrigating 3 times a day for 3 weeks and not a single grass blade has grown from their supposed seed. They keep parking their 10’ trailer with all the orange tubes at the bottom of our slope so we’ve had to look at it off our deck everyday this summer and we can’t come around down the slope on our rider or fit next to it to mow that area. We had to get the city involved to help get something done before we winterize our sprinklers and the grass goes dormant. Definitely lost the business of all our neighbors.
