What you see is inspirational. Also feels "safe".

What you do not see (until it is too late) is the health care. Two of my reviews plus one:

However if you are a typical Villages Resident then you will probably be happy with the Factory Farm version of Bureaucratic Health Care.

No hire there with the least bit of authenticity, empathy, or emotional intelligence will last long at this "practice". I have seen a few come and go, from the lab tech to their "physician assistants''. What finally broke the camel's back I told a prima donna lab tech that her behavior was thoughtless and inconsiderate. To which she accused me of being "rude". When I told her that she was the one being rude she refused to do the lab draw I had come over especially, one day before the hurricane, to get accomplished. Never met with the NP or whoever she was who had ordered the blood work, but she turned out to be the one called on to re enforce the "rude" tech (who informed me she had been with XXXXXX for seven years). At that point I informed them that I was done with both of them.

Also their referrals have been industry standard check the box assembly lines.

My God, you Village Residents have no idea what you are missing or remain satisfied with in the way of quality Medical care. I guess you just don't know what you don't know! This place is typical. Especially at The Villages.

Also they are anything but accessible. You have to hire a special service just to get a message to a receptionist who is in a position to get a message to a nurse, doctor, or other health care practitioner. Considerate and thoughtful they are not. Starting with reception. It is a fatuous, doltish factory environment. If you do get a smile, you can bet it is a fake.

I could go into more detail, but why bother. Most people have no idea what to expect any more. I can only say I have had much better luck going outside The Villages to UF in Gainesville.

This XXXXXX Institute is still a Factory Farm version of Bureaucratic Health Care. If you are a typical Villages Resident then you will probably not know the difference.

I recall another XXXXXX appointment, after taking a lot of time to specify getting the correct knee injection for my arthritic knee, this prima donna who saw me and specified the desired medical combo FARMED OUT (instead of actually doing the injection herself) to another institution in town. When I specified the prescription that the "MD" had ordered, they just laughed at me and told me I would get what they had on hand.

After seeing Dr. XXXXXX, I recognized the same variety of Factory Farm Bureaucratic Health Care applies. Try UF Gainesville instead.

I felt like I was in an Orthopedic factory. I had knee surgery and after that, could no longer get to see my doctor. I saw his assistant who looked at my painful, swollen knee across the room and said
I can tell it's ok. Well, from the pain I was having, the pain pills did not help and I was in horrible pain. He said to take Tylenol. I made another appointment and asked specifically to see the doctor...again, I got his aide. When I said I wanted to see the doctor, he began to tell me how great he was. I had the distinct feeling that once you get operated on, you are kind of out the door. This is a different experience than I have had with any doctor before. I expect to see the doctor who operated on me and knows what he did to my knee, not his aide.
I switched to a place near Tampa, what a difference! Will never go near this place again.

Not a interested sales person after we told them that we were interested in a $250,000 home. It’s like the lite went out of their eyes! He gave us papers and 1 was for what you can expect to pay in fees for a $250,000 home! Then he had a appointment later that afternoon and his wife had to list a home she just got a listing for? Here we were sitting there looking for a home and she said nothing. Even if it were a Million dollar home she could have had a up sale if she was interested. Especially after selling a RV home for $2,100,000. Well we are not that customer. On U Tube it says as well as the sales people told us all the restaurants were pet friendly on their porches! NOT TRUE. Not 1 wanted us on their patios with our 2 quite little dogs! Until I finally just sat down at a sandwich shop because my older dog was sooooo hot 94 degrees outside. That I had to ask a waitress for cold water with Ice. Our 11 yr old dog nearly died of heat stroke. And we were excited about having A Spanish dish that was advertised on Saturday only. We did really enjoy your market place! But our sales people said they would call us later after his meeting as we were in no hurry because we came in our own RV. He did NOT! He said he would call us Sunday morning if we wanted to get in and maybe see something in the price point we were interested in! No phone call even to this day. Monday 2:13 pm. Really turned us off to The Villages!

Always enjoy going to Lake Sumter Landing, Old Mill Theater! The movie Crazy Rich Asians was great! Should be nominated for all of the awards including Academy Award! Restaurants are all good. Did sushi this visit!
