When we visited, the bridge was closed for maintenance. I look forward to coming back and walking across it in the future.
If you’re not interested in a long walk, there is a great mini tour directly from the parking lot to the bridge.
There is a viewing platform that you can climb up to view the river and the bridge. We took the route through the tour, up the stairs to the viewing platform, and along the upper trail back towards the parking lot.
It was a gorgeous February day, and we noticed a lot of other walkers. I can only imagine how lovely it would be to walk this bridge in summer too.

Perfect location for small weddings, Family Photos or Senior Photos. We have used this location for years. Parking is never a problem and the walking distance to the bridge is a short 5 minutes. and is Handicap accessible!

Just went even though it is still a bit cold out but still great views and signs to read. Great information about the bridge and with some of the original parts too. Can't wait to go when the snow is a bit more melted.

What a great little park to stop at when in the area! The history is amazing to read about on the signs placed around the items. I remember when this bridge was still being used, although I never drove over it, I wish I would have now knowing the rich history!
A great place to stop either while biking the river trail or just when in the area!

It's a nice little slice of history, though I emphasize little. At one end is the parking lot with some picnic tables, garbage, information, a bike maintenance station, and a well maintained bathroom, and at the other end is a gazebo with more tables, garbage, grills, and the remnants of the bridge. In between are two walkways with some displays of information and art, and that's it.

It's a nice little park, and I like it a lot, but don't expect to spend a whole day here. It's more like a scenic terminal for the pedestrian/bike path that (eventually) goes back to the river levee and then up into West St. Paul.

This is closed currently so I didn’t get a view of anything. It’s barricaded off but the trail leading up to the bridge is informational and seems cool. Ample parking.

Nice place to go for a quick walk. Around July 4th the mayflies get thick at night. Overlooks the marina to the north and refinery to the south
