I purchased a hurricane impact fiberglass door from Southland exteriors for $3,083.22, and had it installed on 10/23/23. I also purchased new impact windows for $16,983. In December 2024 I noticed the door was not closing correctly. Upon inspection I noticed that the screws of the lower hinge were detached from the frame and that all of the hinges were rusted. I contacted Southland and the woman who answers the phone asked me to send pictures. They then texted me "Thx u I will share these with the repair department and someone will be in contact." I called back after the new year and the woman who answers the phone told me they sent the pictures to the manufacturer. I asked why they would do that and she said she just answers the phone. I asked for someone to call me back who could explain what was going on. I then received a call from a man yelling at me that he doesn't know what I did to the door but someone obviously damaged it and the screws coming out of the frame doesn't just happen. Someone must have slammed it open. I told him that the door doesn't even swing open far enough for the hinge to be stretched as he was suggesting. I asked him do I need to call the BBB because this call was very unprofessional. I also asked him to please lower his voice. He responded that he does not like being threatened and that he was recording me. I told him it was illegal to record me without my permission in FL and he admitted he was just saying that to scare me. I asked him what his name was and he would not give it to me. I spent over 20k with this company and was shocked at the lack of professionalism and evasiveness. They did not even inspect the door in person to come up with this conclusion. Once the check clears, do not expect any decency. Also, my sales person was no longer with the company when I called. Pick another company. There are plenty out there.

My family used Southland Exteriors in the past. I called to request someone to come to my home and give me an estimate on installing new siding. I paid the bill in full and they were there the following day to install the siding. The work was completed within a few days. The installers were very professional and prompt. I highly recommend them!

I had a pleasant experience with Southland Exteriors & would use them again. From the first interaction with Dolores, who was so helpful & polite, to the end of the installation, including the owners, every one was very easy to work with & professional. They replaced 2 windows for me with impact windows. I now have less road noise than before, I don’t have to use my AC as much, as it’s helped let in less heat, & I don’t have to worry about putting up hurricane shutters on these windows. I would definitely recommend them.

Southland removed our screen lanai and installed a beautiful Florida room with insulated walls and real glass windows that are removable. We love it. The installer was Bob and he was exceptional. Our salesman, Phil, is a great guy and Ron and Debra, the owners, are absolutely wonderful to work with. Southland previously installed a sliding patio door for us and that job went seamlessly. We’ll definitely go back to Southland for our new windows.

Dog and Steve did a great job, they were also very punctual and respectful.
We ran into some issues with construction which was by no means any fault of Southland Exteriors, and they made sure to find something comparable to what we wanted and still make sure the job got done !
I would definitely recommend Southland Exteriors for your next home renovation.
