Rented a room for a baby shower, during the whole rental process it was clear the party started at 3pm and went till 6pm. I asked if the rental allowed me to come before hand and set up and was told yes…… I drove almost 3 hours to get to the venue to start setting up at 2:00pm. Once I arrived we quickly realize that there was a tournament going on and they were extremely busy. I went to the front desk to check in and get access to room and was told I couldn’t get in the room until 3 PM. I let front desk lady know that the party started at three and the arrangements I made allowed me to come and set up before hand. The lady at the front desk began to ignore me and move onto other people in the lobby that were in line, I stood there for a few minutes and waited for somebody else to come out and the lady at the front desk after helping a few more people finally went and got somebody The woman that came out had an attitude from the moment she came out the office. I was informed if I wanted to set up I would be charged an additional $57. I said that was fine that I just wanted to get it set up because guests were coming. She then made her way to open the door for the room and then just walked away. We unloaded, set up, had our party, then cleaned up. After this we went to the front desk and NO ONE WAS THERE!!!! So we left, I had a damage deposit so I knew that they would most likely subtract the owed amount and return anything left over if anything. Today!!!! Almost a week later I get an email and this is what it says!!!!

“Hello Jennifer,

Upon reviewing your stay, we noted that you arrived an hour before your scheduled rental time and demanded access to the room, which was not part of your rental agreement. Additionally, the extra hour was never paid for. Due to these issues, we are unable to return your damage deposit.

If you have any questions or need further details, please feel free to contact us.

I removed names obviously but you get the point!

I mean wow!!!!! This is how to treat people? As a Veteran Memorial community center? I am shocked! Not once did I demand anything and I was extremely patient despite how I was treated from the beginning! Someone has some explaining to do because this isn’t appropriate or professional! Best part is that the women to wrote this, wrote this the was she did then proceeded to push it off to someone else. I will never rent from them again!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed coming here today. I have been here many times to work out, take fitness classes, and use the pool and hot tub. The staff is friendly. The place is clean and well maintained. I will continue coming back.

I was considering a membership here. I will say the place is very well maintained and there are a lot of different activities to choose from. My issue is the pool. That is the main reason I was looking at this location. I was very disappointed to learn that the lap swimming lanes are closed to the public during most weekdays and when they are open there is usually open swim so trying to get a workout in is very difficult. They don’t have many sensory time slots either. My plan B was to do a water aerobics routine in the main pool. That is impossible with open swim and the slides open. I can see where it would be a great place for families with kids, but if you are an adult trying to use these facilities it really sucks. It’s loud, chaotic and very limited so I have to pass on membership.

Great for all ages! I got a really good workout in today! Lots of things to do. My only issue is that they rarely have thing for kids under the age of 12 to do. The open gym is rarely open as well.

Over the past weekend, my child attended a party inside the waterpark of this community center and all of the parents that attended alongside with us were so disappointed when a child almost drown because got caught in the current meeting the receiving pool from the waterslide. The ONLY reaction from the lifeguard in charge was to blown his whistle from the other pool border, he NEVER jumped in the water (as opposed in an accident report they filled by themselves without witness confirming their version), he NEVER came in to check on the child afterwards. You might wonder why my rant, because that child happened to be MY OWN. This all happened while I was present and paying close attention alongside another mom who was in front on me and because we were closely paying attention ALL THE TIME we were able to run through that deck to get to my kid when notice a child struggling in the pool after coming down the slide. The other mom saved my kid from drowning because she was a few steps in front of me. The manager only decided to change the lifeguard to the lap pool so he was out of our sight for the remainder of the time we were there but nobody from the staff came to check on my child after or offer any help. What if had actually relied on the fact that the place have lifeguards in duty and let my child under the supervision of the party organizer parents as originally advised? The story end would’ve totally different. So yes is FRUSTRATING, DISAPPOINTING, MADDENING and CRAZY to think you go to a place were your child is supposed to have fun and relax thinking those lifeguards are looking after them and at the very end they are not really paying attention.
This place NEEDS to change their patrol organization because just walking from side to side of the pool deck don’t give you enough view of all the kids/people that are inside the water. While the waterslides are open to everyone, no matter age/height a lifeguard SHOULD be station in that specific area to pay close attention to the kids/people landing in the receiving pool. And that lifeguard needs to be pull out and be force to train again if he really wants to be working in a place were LIVES are at stake.

Handicap accessibility is very good, the kids absolutely love the waterside! We mainly visit the pool area, there is enough to keep the kids entertained for a few hours. Accessibility is very good, large private shower stalls with shower benches in 2 directions, pool lift chair, and plenty of room for wheelchair access. Very impressed. Friendly staff.
